IT Systems Engineer

At Doncasters we have an exciting opportunity for an IT Systems Engineer Lead to join our team.

The IT Systems Engineer will provide expertise in the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of IT systems, applications, and networks across our Americas environments.

Support our IT team in resolving escalated issues related to site-based, centrally managed, and cloud systems. They will coordinate with service providers and vendors on implementation, management, and support of products and services.

• Relevant professional qualification in a related field or significant professional experience is preferred.
• Availability for occasional off hours support and maintenance.
• Preference is to have this position based out of our Groton, CT location. Remote work would be considered if able to make infrequent commutes to one of our US facilities.

• Strong communication skills with ability to interface directly with all levels of the business.
• Experience with managing Windows Servers and an Active Directory environment is a requirement.
• Experience with VMWare, Hyper‑V, or other virtualization platforms, enterprise storage systems, and data retention policies/practices for long‑term scenarios.
• Any experience with O365, Meraki Firewalls, Manage Engine, or ZTNA would be an advantage.
• Good working knowledge of networks, segmentation practices, and routing.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, both on a proactive, planned, project basis as well as a crisis/problem recovery situation.

This is a full‑time permanent position within our USHQ IT team.

Travel would be needed on a limited basis for hands‑on projects or in the event of a critical incident.
