Electrical Designer

Job Description

We are seeking an Electrical Designer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will support a wide variety of project types, including residential homes, apartments, condos, industrial and commercial buildings, retail spaces, restaurants, fire stations, and religious facilities. The role is based in an office with over 10 engineering professionals, offering guidance and leadership from engineers and designers.

Electrical Designer

• Collaborate with engineers and other designers in the building electrical design process by developing BIM models, single-line diagrams, power plans, lighting plans, details, and other specifications.
• Perform calculations, size equipment, and conduct BIM clash detection and resolution.
• Work both independently and collaboratively on design projects.
• Provide oversight, training, and mentoring to less experienced designers.

• Proficiency in Revit with over 3 years of experience in facilities power and lighting designs.
• Experience in electrical design, power distribution, and low voltage systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience performing electrical design for an engineering consulting firm.
• Experience must include power and lighting for buildings.

• Experience with a diverse range of project types is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills for direct interaction with licensed and engineers, as well as company leadership.

The role requires full-time office presence during the training/contract period, with the possibility of one work-from-home day for permanent employees. The culture is easy-going, with T-shirts allowed on Fridays and polo shirts throughout the week. The office environment is friendly and focused on productivity, featuring a professional setting with leadership offices and a collaborative open-space environment for production.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of BOCA RATON, FL.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $39.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
