Role DescriptionThis full-time on-site role is based in Midlothian, Virginia. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will oversee the design and implementation of electrical systems for various projects. Key responsibilities include preparing electrical designs, conducting load calculations, overseeing power distribution and power system projects, and ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards. You will collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering teams to deliver high-quality and efficient solutions while managing project timelines and budgets.
Qualifications& Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- 5+ years of electrical engineering design experience, with a focus on large and small-scale institutional or commercial projects, from schematic design through construction administration.
- In-depth understanding of electrical construction practices. 10+ years is a plus.
- Proficiency in Autodesk design software, including AutoCAD and REVIT.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Extensive knowledge of the National Electrical Code and all applicable Virginia Construction Codes.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within an A/E environment as a key member of multi-discipline project teams.
- Outstanding organizational skills, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work well under pressure with a proactive, can-do attitude.
