Summary
Design mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electro‑mechanical products, equipment and services.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Mechanical Design (Large and Small Assemblies Modeling and Design)
- Modeling and 2D detailing
- Develop simple assembly models from concept
- Modify existing designs to meet specific requirements
- Develop designs of medium complexity from concept
- Item Master generation (Part Numbers) and Product Structure creation (Bills of Materials)
- Experience with the integration of Bill of Materials on multiple levels into full systems of machines.
- Engineering Change Control
- (ECR) Engineering Change Requests, processing and response
- (ECO) Engineering Change Orders, processing and response
- Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge
- Contribute to mechanical engineering effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range issues that must be addressed; providing information and commentary pertinent to deliberations; recommending option and courses of action; implementing directives.
- Contribute to team effort
- Travel up to 3‑5% to support sales efforts.
- Provide product, service, or equipment technical information to other departments and customers.
- Determine improvements by analyzing cost‑benefit ratios of equipment, supplies, or service application in customer environment; engineering or proposing changes in equipment, processes, or use of materials or services.

Knowledge, Skills And/or Abilities Knowledge Software- Microsoft Office Suite (Work, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) – as applied to Engineering Systems
- Autodesk Inventor (2016‑2018) & PTC CREO
- (PDM) Product Data Management system (i.e., Lawson/M3)
- AutoCAD 2D a plus
- Knowledge of Materials, Mechanical Components and their use
- Knowledge of Basic Mechanical systems
- Hydraulic power and motion systems and the application of basic hydraulic components:
Valves, Motors, Cylinders - Understanding of hydraulic circuits and schematics
- Pneumatic power and motion systems and the application of basic pneumatic components:
Valves, Motors, Cylinders - Understanding of hydraulic circuits and schematics
- Mechanical / Electric drives
- Design of linear and rotary drive trains for specific applications
- Understand the interfacing of multiple machines into an operational system
- Experience in application of Vendor components, fits, stack‑ups, tolerances, interferences.
- Knowledge of Machine Safety and Industrial safety practices

- Ability to work within a team environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience
- 2 to 4 years relevant work experience
- (Application Specific) Experience with (PDM) Product Data Management and Manufacturing software systems
- Experience with (PDM) Product Data Management and Manufacturing software systems for Item Master generation (Part Numbers) and Product Structure creation (Bills of Materials)
- Experience with the integration of Bills of Materials on multiple levels into full systems of machines
