Our client is a growing civil contractor specializing in site development and earthwork for commercial and industrial projects. They are hiring an experienced Earthwork Estimator who can independently develop accurate, competitive bids from early concept through award, with a strong focus on grading and mass excavation.

• Develop detailed cost estimates for sitework scopes, including mass grading, excavation and backfill, site preparation, and support for paving and related civil work.
• Perform thorough quantity takeoffs from civil plans, specifications, and geotechnical reports; identify constructability issues, soil-related risks, and value-engineering opportunities.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes, compare pricing, and assemble complete bid proposals in coordination with project management and operations.
• Maintain organized digital estimating files and historical cost data to continuously improve accuracy and efficiency.

• Minimum 3+ years of estimating experience focused on earthwork and site development.
• Strong ability to read and interpret grading plans, utility layouts, and other civil drawings; familiarity with water/sewer/storm utility scopes is a plus.
• Proficiency with modern earthwork takeoff and estimating software (e.g., Agtek, Heavy Bid, or comparable tools).
• Knowledge of regional soil and permitting conditions in Arizona and surrounding municipalities preferred.
• Comfortable working from home while managing multiple bids and deadlines; excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

• Salary range approximately $65,500 - $79,000 per year, depending on experience.
• Hybrid arrangement based out of the Phoenix, AZ area: primarily remote with periodic in-person meetings for collaboration, bid reviews, or project handoff.
