Job Description
SIXGEN is actively seeking candidates to provide critical support for a variety of government customers. As a Security Research Engineer, you’ll work in a unique position at the intersection of software development, binary and network protocol reverse engineering, and data analysis. The candidate will join a seasoned team of fellow engineers conducting Reverse Engineering, Vulnerability Research, and specialized development. We work with a variety of platforms such, including Linux and Windows, but also embedded operating systems, including RTOS.

This role requires you to be a U.S. citizen and hold a current Secret or Top Secret security clearance. Our team utilizes a hybrid work environment, with opportunity to flex your schedule and work from home, however employees must be located in Denver, CO.

Qualifications:

• 2 to 5+ years of experience conducting reverse engineering, vulnerability research, and/or development
• Proficienct in C and Python
• U.S. citizenship and hold a current Secret or Top Secret clearance

Responsibilities include:

• Identifying vulnerabilities through reverse engineering of compiled code that runs on a variety of computing platforms
• Developing C/C++ code in the kernel and/or userland on Linux, Windows, and/or embedded operating systems
• Developing Python code for server applications and processing of binary data streams
• Reverse engineering compiled code with IDA Pro or Ghidra
• Reverse engineering embedded system hardware including black box analysis, firmware extraction, and debugging using GDB, JTAG, and other equivalent tools
• Implementing automation for testing our tools, fuzzing, and using machine learning for reverse engineering Technologies:
