Position: Remote Structural Steel Lead / Chief Estimator

We are seeking an experienced Structural Steel Lead/Chief Estimator with a strong background in industrial projects, including steel erection, ductwork/boilermaker scopes, rigging, and millwright work. This is a remote/hybrid role, with the flexibility to work from your location of choice, while traveling into the office 1-3 times per month.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the estimating department and mentor junior staff
• Perform take-offs and enter data into Excel-based estimating sheets
• Estimate all project costs accurately and comprehensively
• Solicit pricing from subcontractors and equipment vendors
• Package complete proposals from start to finish (cradle to grave)

Qualifications:

• Extensive experience estimating structural steel and industrial projects
• Comfortable performing all aspects of take-offs and cost estimation independently
• Strong understanding of steel erection, duct/boilermaker work, rigging, and millwrighting scopes
• Proven leadership experience in managing estimating teams
• Ability to work remotely while maintaining collaboration with the office
