National Hardware Specialist – Automation Remote 80% Travel

You will lead on‑site implementation of complex automation systems, working closely with cross‑functional teams such as Technical Support, Field Service, Sales, Project Management, and Professional Development. You will also provide national‑level escalation support by diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing complex electro‑mechanical equipment, networked computer systems, and software.

• Exercise judgment to identify and solve unique and complex problems with laboratory automation systems.
• Support product and revenue growth through high‑quality execution of implementation processes with varying degrees of complexity.
• Provide technical troubleshooting both on‑site and via remote phone support to experienced field service engineers.
• Work with limited supervision within established procedures and practices, collaborating with teammates and the installation team to build productive partnerships.
• Utilize mentoring and training abilities to transfer vital knowledge and technical skills to internal and external customers.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related discipline with 3+ years of relevant industry or military experience, or Associate’s Degree with 5+ years of relevant industry or military experience.
• Experience includes complex electro‑mechanical troubleshooting and repair.
• Highly flexible and willing to travel domestically at least 80% of the time, often on short notice.
• Must be located within one hour of a major metropolitan airport in the Central United States.

• Customer‑facing interpersonal written and verbal communication and facilitation skills.
• Strong computer skills (MS Office) and network/LIS communication and troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with Standard Laboratory Practices, including Quality Control, record keeping, and regulatory requirements.

The hourly rate for this role is $40.00/hour – $45.00/hour. This is the range we believe is fair at the time of posting, and may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, and 401(k) to eligible employees.
