The Northrop Grumman Classified Solutions team is seeking a Level 1 Software Development Manager to join its dynamic team of technical professionals. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Aeronautics Systems support team in Melbourne, FL.

Due to the classified nature of the work being performed, this position does not offer any virtual or telecommute working options. Applicants are encouraged to apply, only if they are willing to work on-site. This position is an application administration management role within the Program Support and Services organization. This position will require a split between technical and functional management duties.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
* Lead a team of application administrators performing direct program work on Apex, also supporting multiple programs

* Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills with strong interpersonal skills

* Use good judgement to pursue courses of action necessary to obtain desired results. Work closely with program-assigned systems engineering, software development, and management professionals to ensure that the software lifecycle is accomplished with high quality and efficiency

* Oversee and manage the quality and timeliness of the organization's products, and identification and remediation of potential issues before they become problems

* Develop and manage budgets and schedules and create work assignments for tasking

* The successful candidate will have a current full-time Program assignment; with a subset of the time allocated to Functional Manager duties, which fluctuate throughout the year due to business needs and the performance management cycle.

Basic Qualifications:

* Associate's Degree with 5 years of relevant experience, Bachelor's Degree with 3 relevant experience OR Master's Degree with 2 years of relevant experience

* Candidates must have the ability to obtain a DOD Secret level security clearance as a condition of continued employment
