This role based on our Fort Lauder sale Office
We are looking for a CAD Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will work alongside the operations team, providing essential support. Your main responsibility will be to create technical drawings and plans using computer-aided design (CAD) software. Your keen attention to detail and expertise in various CAD programs will play a vital role in ensuring the successful completion of our projects.
Responsibilities- Create detailed technical drawings and plans from 2D and 3D for boat shows.
- Utilize CAD software such as AutoCAD and Revit
- Utilize EXPOCAD software such as AutoCAD
- Review and modify existing drawings as necessary
- Collaborate with engineers and architects to understand project specifications and thoroughly appraise external documentation.
- Attend and contribute to design meetings alongside sales representatives or project managers, communicating with main contractors, architects, and engineers to develop project solutions.
- Conduct quality checks on completed designs to identify any errors or discrepancies
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure project deadlines are met
- Working with the existing Senior CAD Designer to build a strong department and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
- 2-3 years experience in engineering or construction or a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- Completed certification in Autodesk Certified User (ACU), American Design Drafting Association (ADDA) or Certied Drafting Technician (CDT)
- Competent user of AutoCAD (Essential) and Revit (Preferred)
- Competent user of MS packages, e.g., Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams.
- Basic understanding of technical drawing principles and practices
- Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate with a range of people at all levels, both verbally and in writing.
