Position Summary
The MRP Planner is responsible for ensuring accurate material requirements planning to support production and engineering activities. This role focuses on reviewing Engineering Bills of Materials (EBOMs), preparing detailed buy lists, and entering material demand into SAP. The MRP Planner works cross-functionally with Engineering, Procurement, and Production teams to ensure timely availability of materials, data accuracy, and alignment with project and production schedules.
Key Responsibilities Review Engineering BOMs (EBOMs)- Analyze engineering drawings and EBOMs for accuracy, completeness, and material requirements.
- Identify discrepancies or material issues and communicate with Engineering to resolve them.
- Generate accurate buy lists based on EBOMs, lead times, inventory levels, and project schedules.
- Ensure all materials are properly identified, sourced, and aligned with production needs.
- Provide Procurement with timely and accurate material requirement details.
- Input and maintain demand within SAP based on EBOMs, production schedules, and project updates.
- Create and update material masters, planned orders, and purchase requisitions as needed.
- Monitor MRP outputs to ensure system accuracy and address exceptions or errors.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Supply Chain, and Production to ensure material plans support operational goals.
- Participate in project meetings to stay informed of schedule changes affecting materials.
- Review inventory availability and reconcile gaps between on-hand, on-order, and required materials.
- Identify potential shortages and proactively communicate risks to stakeholders.
- Recommend process improvements in BOM accuracy, MRP setup, and data integrity.
- Support standardization of planning and demand management practices.
- Experience working with EBOMs or engineering documentation
. - Hands‑on experience with SAP (or related modules).
- Strong understanding of MRP principles, material planning, and supply chain processes
. - Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Strong communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
- Proficiency with MS Excel or other planning tools.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or related field.
- Experience in manufacturing or engineering‑driven environments.
- Knowledge of lean or continuous improvement methods.
