Sr. Sourcing Specialist - NPI

Cadrex is searching for a Sr. Sourcing Specialist - NPI who will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic sourcing strategies to support the company's procurement goals. Your expertise in supplier management, negotiation, and market analysis will enable you to drive cost-effective solutions, ensure the availability of high-quality materials, and optimize the supply chain. By collaborating with cross‑functional teams and leveraging market intelligence, you will contribute to the overall success of our manufacturing operations.

• Front-End Margin Protection:
  Embed within the quoting and finance model creation process to perform deep-dive analysis of each material line before customer pricing is finalized.
• Technical BOM Optimization:
  Partner with Engineering during the design phase to identify material or design enhancements (VAVE) that reduce MCOGS (Manufacturing Cost of Goods Sold) without sacrificing quality.
• Strategic Sourcing Integration:
  Collaborate with the Commodity Management team to ensure NPI supplier selection leverages global scale and utilizes a Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) approach.
• Economic Flow Validation:
  Partner with the SIOP team to validate that quotes are based on accurate annual consumption volumes and optimal Economic Order Quantities (EOQ/MOQ).
• Program Forensic Reviews:
  Conduct regular interval reviews of high-impact existing accounts to ensure best purchasing practices are in effect and identify margin erosion.
• Market-Based Improvement:
  Monitor the vendor landscape for new technologies or shifting market trends to recommend improvements for legacy product margins.
• Cross-Functional Validation:
  Lead stakeholders in Engineering, Operations, and Program Management to validate and execute cost-savings activities on mature products.
• Supplier Capability Leveraging:
  Engage with key suppliers to harvest their ideas for Design-for-Manufacturability (DFM) and value improvement on existing high-volume lines.

• Proven experience as a Sourcing Specialist in a senior capacity or in a similar role within the manufacturing or industrial sector (10+ years preferred).
• In-depth knowledge of strategic sourcing principles, practices, and procurement processes.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills, with a track record of achieving cost savings and driving supplier performance.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with proficiency in data analysis and market intelligence.
• Demonstrated experience in supplier relationship management, conducting supplier audits, and implementing supplier performance metrics.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, technical specifications, and quality standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
• Proficiency in using procurement software, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and data analysis tools.
• Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
