# Project Overview:

The rapid growth of AI and digitalization is fueling unprecedented demand for data centers that require large, reliable sources of energy. In response to this market trend, the Renewables & Clean Power (R&CP) team have signed an early works contract to build one of the largest gas fired power generation facilities in the U.S. Our team is helping the customer progress early-stage development, that would lead to the start of full EPC delivery next year.

The candidate will act as the  
** Project*
* ** Field Engineer
** on the CCGT Project in Pecos, Texas.

The candidate may start in the home office in Reston, VA or Houston, TX, as single status, to support preconstruction planning, ahead of project mobilization to the field when the candidate will locate on a long-term assignment to the project in Pecos, TX. This position is contingent upon project award.

Job Summary:

In this role, you will manage a team and provide field engineering leadership for work planning and packaging, material management, quantity validation, safety and quality control, technical inspection and testing knowledge, and coordination of system turnover and subcontracts. Your oversight will ensure field engineering activities operate safely, are complete, and conform to quality standards and project requirements and other activities as assigned by the Site Manager.

This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and will require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership.  LI-JL1

# Major Responsibilities:

** Leadership/Supervision *
* + Proactively engages with their teams' development through CPM, competency development/assessment and feedback.

+ Develops and recommends the construction engineering staffing plan for approval by the Site Manager (or appropriate level of Project Management) and prepares employee requisitions. 

+ Directs construction engineering activities of the assigned construction engineering staff, ensuring compliance with procedures.   

+ Responsible for supervision of the Field Engineering, Document Control, Survey, and IS&T departments while on site project.

** Work Planning & Packaging *
* + Directs the design of temporary construction facilities as required.  

Material Management   

+ Directs preparation of requisitions for field procured materials, material substitution, services, and equipment. 

+ Approves and/or delegates the approval for all Field Material

Requisition s pertaining to permanent plant.

** Quantities *
* + Possesses responsibility for quantity take-off, control, reporting, and forecasting.   

** Safety / Quality Control *
* + Ensures zero accident philosophy and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craft and others when in the operational area, and tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely.
