We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead roadway design and public works projects. This role is perfect for a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with a strong background in roadway design, project execution, client management, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities- Implements the company’s vision and goals through project execution and leadership.
- Applies a service‑oriented leadership style, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Manages and mentors a team of engineers and designers, providing technical oversight and professional development.
- Facilitates and encourages team collaboration, ensuring efficiency and strong working relationships.
- Diffuses conflicts and promotes problem‑solving, helping maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Serves as the primary liaison for project coordination with clients, consultants, and building agencies.
- Listens, acknowledges, and responds to feedback, ensuring open and effective communication.
- Maintains professional verbal and non‑verbal communication across all interactions.
- Leads roadway design and public works projects, ensuring they meet technical, budget, and schedule requirements.
- Manages project schedules, budgets, and team assignments, ensuring successful project completion.
- Oversees project records, documentation, and compliance with regulatory standards (Caltrans, Greenbook, MUTCD, AASHTO).
- Reviews and approves submittals, RFI responses, and technical specifications to maintain quality control.
- Coordinates site visits and inspections, ensuring project compliance and constructability.
- Oversees contract document production (drawings, specifications, cost estimates, etc.).
- Conducts building code analysis and regulatory compliance reviews, ensuring projects meet all necessary requirements.
- Participates in marketing efforts, proposals, and presentations, contributing to company growth.
- Leads proposal development efforts, preparing cost estimates and responding to RFPs.
- 8+ years of experience in civil engineering, public works, and roadway design.
- California PE License.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Strong understanding of roadway design standards (Caltrans, Greenbook, MUTCD, AASHTO).
- Experience with project budgeting, scheduling, and team management.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with clients, agencies, and subconsultants.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- 36‑Hour Work Week – Fridays off.
- Hybrid Schedule – Work from home on Thursdays.
- $145,000+ Salary (Depends on Experience).
