Job Description
This is a remote position.
We are seeking a GIS Consultant with experience supporting gas utility pipeline systems and compliance‑driven spatial workflows. This role focuses on maintaining, analyzing, and validating pipeline datasets used for regulatory programs such as High Consequence Areas (HCA), DOT Class Locations, in‑line inspections, and risk‑related decision‑making.
The position centers on ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Pipeline Referencing (LRS), SQL, Python automation, and the ability to interpret complex spatial data with a high degree of accuracy. You will work with linear referencing systems, pipeline attributes, and spatial models that directly support safety, engineering, and compliance reporting.
This role requires someone who can work independently, communicate clearly with technical and non‑technical stakeholders, and manage data that supports mission‑critical decisions in regulated environments.
Requirements- Advanced proficiency with ESRI ArcGIS Pro
- Hands‑on experience with ArcGIS Pipeline Referencing (LRS) for gas utilities
- Strong GIS data analysis and spatial data troubleshooting
- SQL and relational database experience
- Python scripting for automation and repeatable workflows
- Ability to produce clear, accurate mapping and visualization outputs

Requirements
- ArcGIS Pro - You live in this platform
- Pipeline Referencing & LRS - You understand linear referencing systems for gas utilities (not just in theory, you've actually built and managed them)
- GIS Data Analysis - You can interrogate spatial data and make it tell the story it needs to tell
- SQL & Relational Databases - You write queries that actually work
- Python Scripting - Automation is second nature to you
- Mapping & Visualization - You know how to present complex infrastructure data clearly
