Principal Technical Specialist – Microelectronics
The Principal Technical Specialist provides technical support to US Microelectronics customers to help achieve sales targets. The role functions in a triad with marketing and sales, recommending filtration solutions, presenting performance data, leading technical review meetings, conducting seminars, and gathering customer voice‑of‑customer insights.
Responsibilities- Lead and manage testing plans and technical projects to meet business goals.
- Develop and recommend filtration processes for applications such as Wet Cleans, Photolithography, CMP, UPW, etch, gas et al.
- Independently solve complex customer issues and apply learnings to future work.
- Write and present technical reports to internal and external stakeholders.
- Collect and report VOC about filter performance gaps and prototype evaluation results.
- Collaborate with global sales, marketing, R&D and engineering teams.
- B.S., M.S., Ph.D. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Physics or Materials Science.
- Minimum of 10 years of scientific and engineering experience in Microelectronics or Semiconductor Industry (8 years for M.S. or 5 years for Ph.D.).
- Knowledge of a process module (e.g., Photolithography, Wet Etch/Cleans) in semiconductor manufacturing.
- Understanding of on‑wafer defect and material characterization techniques.
- Up to 25% travel, locally and internationally.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
- Experience in filtration for Microelectronics related materials or processes.
- Experience working directly with customers.
The position is eligible for a remote work arrangement from home, with additional information provided by the interview team. Salary range is $140,000 – $165,000 USD plus bonus/incentive pay. Benefits include paid time off, medical, dental, vision insurance and 401(k) for eligible employees.
