Compliance Field Engineer – Transmission Compliance
In this role you will lead and manage activities associated with the development and management of compliance activities related to cyber‑security, physical security, and maintenance of the Bulk Electric System. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, developing and leading assessments, audits, and reviews of existing compliance, identifying performance gaps, facilitating determination of improvement actions, and tracking them through completion. The engineer works closely with Operations staff to ensure compliance, implement process improvements, and track changes to applicable standards as they are approved by regulatory authorities.
EssentialFunctions
- Provides engineering/technical expertise and guidance in identifying, analyzing, and resolving problems of increasing scope and complexity.
- Ensures accomplishment of business goals and objectives through effective planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling, and monitoring of work activities.
- Prepares thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, calculations, and sketches related to defined problems and analysis.
- Conducts engineering and related studies; completes non‑routine engineering projects with minimal oversight and independently manages project schedules and interfaces.
- Develops positive working relationships to effectively coordinate work activities.
- Demonstrates effective oral and written communication skills.
- Maintains accurate records and files.
- Supports the company's goals and represents the company positively and professionally.
- Knowledge of utility power systems is preferred.
- Ability to independently develop, present, and execute new projects through collaborations with other departments.
- Familiarity with power‑related software is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
- 3‑5 years related experience is required. Engineering design experience preferred.

Current guidelines require employees to work at least three days in the office, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with the third day set by the employee and supervisor based on department needs.
