Failure Analysis Technician
Responsible for performing detailed failure analysis on returned devices related to complaint allegations of malfunction, and for analyzing the process to identify improvements.
Responsibilities- Perform failure analysis on returned devices.
- Work with limited supervision, escalating issues to superiors and developing a substantial understanding of relevant regulations, requirements, and standards.
- Assist in implementing procedures and protocols, ensuring adherence to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
- Support the execution of validation protocols and failure analysis testing methods for new products and processes.
- Pursue continuous learning and on‑the‑job training to enhance skills and knowledge, and ensure quality of own work by conducting checks and taking responsibility for accuracy.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Quality Control within the medical device or a regulated industry.
- Proficiency in Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and general understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 13485, FDA 21 CFR Part 820 and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Technical Diploma, Bachelor or Associate's Degree in engineering science or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to meet the following minimum physical, cognitive, and environmental job requirements for an office/remote position.
This is an office role located in Bothell, WA. Candidates must reside in or be within commuting distance to Bothell, WA. Full‑time presence in the company’s facilities is required.
Compensation & BenefitsThe pay range for this position in Bothell, WA is $24.51 to $38.46 hourly. Additional compensation such as annual incentive bonus, sales commission, or long‑term incentives may be offered. Employees are eligible to participate in Philips’ Total Rewards benefits program, which includes generous PTO, 401(k) with up to 7% match, HSA with company contribution, stock purchase plan, education reimbursement, and more.
