Cloud Architect Artificial Intelligence (AI) Engineer
, Level IV, to support our customer in the
Annapolis Junction, MD
area.
Location:Annapolis Junction, Maryland
All work is on-site. This is not a hybrid or remote position.
Mission
:
As a
Cloud Architect Artificial Intelligence (AI) Engineer
, you are responsible for applying systems engineering principles throughout the systems life cycle phases:
Concept, Development, Production, Utilization, Support, and Retirement. Interacts with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts. Communicates with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives. Responsibility for the technical integrity, quality, and completeness of work performed and deliverables associated with one or more of the 25 process areas defined by ISO/IEC
15288.
- 10 years
of demonstrated combined years of experience (YOE) in cloud and artificial intelligence systems with a bachelor's degree; if Master's degree then eight (8) YOE; if Ph.D., 8 YOE, else 14 YOE DoD program management or relevant experience if a high school/GED graduate.
Certifications:
- No certifications required.
Required Skills:
Cloud Architecture/ Cloud Engineer/ Platform Engineering (especially in AWS).
AI/ML system design and implementation.
High-level understanding of the AI lifecycle (development, training, inference, monitoring).
Experience with ML pipeline development, model deployment, and Dev Ops/ML Ops.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a variety of stakeholder groups, ability to proactively engage with these groups to understand requirements and inform system architecture decisions.
System security and networking (particularly the implementation of system security on classified systems).
Data engineering and data lifecycle management.
Desired
Skills:
- Experience with Amazon Safe Maker is a plus.
You are responsible for:
- Analyzes user's requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications.
- Analyzes system requirements and leads design and development activities.
- Guides users in formulating requirements, advises alternative approaches, and conducts feasibility studies.
- Provides technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology. Incorporates new plans, designs and systems into ongoing operations.
- Develops technical documentation.
- Develops system Architecture and system design documentation.
- Guides system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans.
- Interacts with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts.
- Ultimate responsibility for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility.
- Communicates with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives.
Education and Required Qualification
A High School Diploma or GED plus twelve (12) years of general system engineering experience.
OR
A Bachelor's degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus seven (7) years of systems engineering experience.
OR
A Master's degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus five (5) years of systems engineering experience.
OR
A PhD in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus three (3) years of systems engineering experience.
