Job Summary

We have an exciting opportunity located in Poway, CA for a Program Manager on the International Program. This position typically reports to a senior program manager and will work with cross‑functional teams in the planning, managing and performance of an MQ‑9A development and integration program across multiple locations. The focus is coordinating and managing export/import requirements, repair and retrofit of an MQ‑9A system, delivery to the customer, and providing in‑country sustainment for the duration of the program.

The role leads or supports all phases of assigned program(s) from business shaping, proposal, and initiation through delivery and sustainment. The Program Manager is responsible for program(s) that represent stable growth as well as pursuing new business opportunities. The role applies established technologies using standard principles, theories, concepts, and techniques to provide solutions to a variety of technical problems. Objectives are typically accomplished through functional managers and teams.

Decisions can impact outcomes where erroneous choices could cause serious schedule delays and additional resource expenditures.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and coordinate program plans or integration effort for the MQ‑9A Program.
  • Work across a team of Operational Program Managers, Project Engineers, and functional support teams to manage and execute the sUAS development & integration program in accordance with the contract’s requirement and baselined program plan.
  • Collaborate with Sustainment Team to ensure delivery of optimal life‑cycle cost solutions.
  • Manage selected phases of the program(s) to ensure quality, business, and financial objectives are attained and meet the company’s near and long‑term Annual Operating Plan.
  • Collaborate with technical staff and/or Division/Group executive management to develop and implement current, annual, and long‑term technical, schedule, quality, business, and financial objectives for the program(s).
  • May also contribute to the development of Group/Company objectives.
  • Collaborate with engineering team to establish design concepts, criteria, and engineering efforts for product research, development, testing, and integration.
  • Interact with internal and external representatives at various levels concerning resolution of technical and scheduling issues. Act as one of the primary contacts for program technical & developmental issues.
  • Assist with the business shaping process and influence, coordinate the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets, and financial terms/conditions of contract(s). Influence contract acquisitions, negotiations, and modifications.
  • Act as the customer contact for program activities and may lead program review sessions with customers to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.
  • Identify program issues and provide leadership in developing solutions such as re‑allocation of resources or modifying contract specification.
  • May participate with Group management in pursuing business partnerships, alliances, and joint ventures that enhance the capabilities of the Group/Company and may result in new products, programs, and business opportunities.
  • Manage the development of and ensure the security of proprietary technology and maintain the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Comply with all company policies inclusive of ITC/ITAR requirement.
  • Other duties as assigned or required.
