An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Process Engineer to take a leading role within a growing design team, delivering high-quality process solutions across a range of water and wastewater treatment projects. You will be responsible for overseeing technical delivery, guiding multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring designs meet regulatory, environmental, and client requirements. This is a key position where you will collaborate closely with internal teams, stakeholders, and clients to deliver efficient, future-focused solutions.
Alongside technical leadership you will mentor junior engineers, drive innovation, and champion sustainable, cost‑effective treatment approaches aligned with the evolving needs of the water sector.
- Lead the planning, design, and delivery of water and wastewater treatment processes
- Oversee technical outputs across multiple projects, ensuring quality and compliance
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and regulatory bodies
- Review and approve process designs, calculations, and documentation
- Support project delivery through design, testing, and commissioning phases
- Mentor and develop junior engineers within the team
- Promote innovation, continuous improvement, and sustainable design solutions
- Ensure adherence to industry standards, environmental regulations, and best practice
- 7-10 years’ experience in process engineering
- Minimum 5 years within the water or wastewater sector
- Proven track record delivering complex treatment projects from design through to commissioning
- Strong understanding of water quality standards, environmental regulations, and industry codes
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Analytical and detail‑oriented approach
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
- Proactive, self‑motivated, and solutions‑focused
- Strong technical judgement and problem‑solving ability
- In-depth knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes and technologies
- Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or similar
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or working towards
