Customer Service Engineer Position Summary
Incumbent will provide technical support to Bell customers by effectively solving fielded fleet issues and satisfying customer needs while protecting Bell interest (cost, liability, reputation, etc).
Principal Responsibilities- Provide expert consultation to maintain, repair and upgrade Bell aircraft.
- Provide hands‑on maintenance for Bell-owned aircraft during trade shows and demonstration tours.
- Develop and conduct presentations on maintenance‑related topics to customers at conferences.
- Collaborate with all functions within Bell (Spares, Warranty, PSE, Engineering, etc.) to address customer needs.
- Represent the Bell brand by striving for positive customer experiences using effective communication and exhibiting Bell values.
- Provide a communication channel to the commercial business to ensure organizational alignment around continuous improvement and customer intimacy.
- Promote safe aircraft maintenance and operation.
- Maintain a strong customer service mindset.
- Regularly communicate with regional sales leaders to understand customer needs and promote new aircraft and aftermarket sales.
- Promote the use of Bell parts and services.
- Remote location, operated independently without direct supervision.
- Must be on‑call 24 hours a day, including weekends, based on customer needs for aircraft maintenance and support.
- At least 50% travel required.
- Cultural experience within the area preferred.
- 10 years of hands‑on helicopter maintenance experience, at least 5 years on Bell models.
- Hold a regulatory body certification such as an FAA Airframe & Powerplant license.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in a second language preferred.
- Ability to travel on short notice, including weekends.
- Ability to be on‑call 24 hours a day, including weekends.
- Must live in or be able to relocate to the service area indicated.
- Strong customer service mindset, with the ability to positively impact customer perception.
- Physically capable of working on and around aircraft in demanding environments (climb ladders, lift up to 25 lb, crawl under aircraft).
- Director of Maintenance or Chief Inspector experience desired.
- Education:
Hold Civil Aviation Regulatory License. - Stream (e.g., Mechanical) with B1.3 or B2 License.
- 10 years of hand‑on experience maintaining helicopters, 5 years on Bell models;
Director of Maintenance or Chief Inspector experience desired. - Regulatory License rated for at least one Bell model.
