Key Responsibilities
  • Lead exceptional teams to deliver successful projects for clients in the Water business.
  • Engage internally with staff at all levels and externally with clients, regulatory agencies, subconsultants, and other firms.
  • Develop and manage scope, budget, and schedule on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Establish project objectives, procedures and performance standards, and lead multi‑disciplinary teams through proposals, planning studies, feasibility, final designs, and construction services.
  • Identify appropriate resources and skill sets, manage contract terms, track and manage costs and schedule, and implement measures to stay on schedule and within budget.
  • Support proposal pricing strategies, cost proposal preparation, contract legal and risk reviews, and related marketing efforts needed to develop winning proposals.
  • Embrace Stantec’s internal policies and practices, including risk management, project management, and quality management.
  • Maintain and enhance relationships with clients, approval agencies and industry professionals by providing exceptional service.
  • Provide mentoring and training for future leaders to support their career growth.
  • Promote collaboration and teamwork across business lines and geographies.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
  • Experienced in organizing, planning, and executing projects from pursuit through closeout, involving internal personnel, subconsultants, and vendors.
  • Ability to make sound defensible business decisions and to identify, assess, evaluate, and solve complex problems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Passion for team building and collaboration.
Education and Experience
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a scientific, engineering, or related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years’ relevant professional experience, with at least 1 year of experience managing and/or coordinating projects.
Licenses and Certifications
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) required;
    Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred or ability to achieve within 2 years of hire.
Typical Office Environment

Includes working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time.

Pay Range
  • Locations in WA, DC & Various CA, MA areas: $126,400 – $189,600 annually
Pay Transparency

In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. The final compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. Certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part‑time roles will be pro‑rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
