Field Applications Engineer – Salt Lake City
Job DescriptionAs a Field Applications Engineer at Arrow Electronics, you will help our customers select and design‑in electronic components. Arrow FAE’s are trusted advisors, providing technical expertise and guidance to ensure the success of both our customers and our suppliers. This position will be based out of the Salt Lake City area.
Responsibilities- Drive demand creation by maximizing Arrow content on designs.
- Develop an advanced understanding of the customer’s needs and leverage Arrow’s engineering and design services resources to identify and facilitate solutions for customers.
- Apply technical expertise to influence designs utilizing solution selling, resources, and strategies.
- Partner with the sales team across pre‑ and post‑sales activities.
- Provide technical support and consulting to promote demand creation.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations to customers.
- Manage top opportunities and the opportunity funnel for assigned suppliers.
- Attend supplier trainings in‑person and via conference calls.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of supplier technologies and how those technologies relate to market needs.
- Provide training to sales teams on new products and help market these products to the appropriate customers.
- Manage supplier and customer expectations by building and developing relationships, keeping stakeholders up to date on activities, plans, and progress toward initiatives.
- Deepen and broaden connections with key decision makers within customers and suppliers.
- Attend and actively participate in strategic branch meetings and quarterly business reviews. Develop and drive strategic technical plans by supplier line or customer solution.
- Help plan and organize engineering customer events and seminars.
- 2+ years of electronic design experience with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
- In‑depth knowledge and experience with system, board, and engineering solutions and electronic components.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Sales experience is beneficial.
- Customer‑facing role requiring regular onsite visits to customer sites.
- Requires an electrical engineering degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience.
Remote with Teams meetings every Monday at a shared space in the Salt Lake City market.

This role will perform work covered by International Traffic in Arms Regulations. Viable candidates for this position must be eligible for an export license or be a U.S. Person (including but not limited to U.S. citizens or nationals, lawful permanent residents, refugees, and asylees).
Salary RangeAnnual: $76,600.00 – $. Actual compensation may vary based on location, experience, education, and skill level. The pay ratio between base pay and target incentive will be finalized at offer.
LocationUS‑UT‑Utah (Remote Employees). Remote work may require presence at the nearest designated Arrow office for work‑related purposes, at the company’s discretion.
