The Project Controls Senior Associate is an advanced entry‑level role, assigned to either Scheduling or Cost Management, or a combination. Under appropriate supervision, you will perform routine project controls assignments and seek responsibility in scheduling, costing, and related project‑management concepts.

• Understand Black & Veatch functional organizations and interfaces, constructability concepts, and assist with project forecasting.
• Maintain Cost Report with minimal supervision.
• Maintain Cost Spread with minimal supervision.
• Assist with input to monthly reports.
• Facilitate quantity reporting.
• Maintain Change Log and ensure forecasts reflect potential changes.
• Understand financial acumen.
• Assist in development and maintenance of Level I/II schedules.
• Assist in execution schedule development and maintenance, including fragnet preparation and resource loading.
• Prepare and maintain schedule adherence reports.
• Assist in critical path and float analysis under supervision.
• Maintain earned‑value reports.

Individual Contributor.

Prefer a four‑year Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management.

• Four‑year Bachelor’s degree with one or more years of relevant Cost Control or Planning & Scheduling experience, OR no four‑year degree with five or more years of relevant experience in Home Office or Field Office.
• All applicants must be able to complete pre‑employment onboarding requirements, which may include background check, drug screen, and motor‑vehicle records search.

• Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days, based upon manager discretion and work performance.
• Occasional travel up to 25% may be required.
• Construction Site Environment: standing, kneeling, bending, stooping, moving, and walking long distances; seeing and hearing naturally or with correction; working at heights above 5 ft; climbing and maintaining balance on stairs, ladders, and scaffolds; working up to a 12‑hour shift; exposure to cramped work spaces, extreme temperatures, inclement weather, lighting, noise, and hazardous equipment.
