Position: Structural / Bridge Engineer (SE or PE)

What Your Day Will Look Like:

Consor seeks an experienced Structural / Bridge Engineer for our Draper, Utah office. You will design and check structures—including highway bridges, pedestrian bridges, culverts, walls, overhead sign structures, and miscellaneous drainage components—within a collaborative team environment that emphasizes professional growth and client interaction.

What You’ll Do:
  • Lead and support structural and bridge design tasks as part of an integrated engineering team.
  • Serve as a technical resource and mentor to junior staff, including EITs.
  • Perform structural/bridge analysis, engineering calculations, load‑rating evaluations, and design checks.
  • Develop and review structural/bridge plans, specifications, estimates, and supporting documents.
  • Conduct conceptual engineering studies and provide recommendations.
  • Support and lead preliminary engineering and final design efforts.
  • Prepare high‑quality technical reports and design summaries.
  • Coordinate with internal project managers, coworkers, local governments, and UDOT.
  • Participate in client meetings, project presentations, and proposal efforts as needed.
Salary

$100–140 k (based on experience). Salary for candidates with significant experience beyond the minimum requirements may be considered above this range.

What You’ll Need:
  • 4+ years of professional experience in civil/structural engineering with a focus on bridge design.
  • Professional Structural Engineer (SE) license, PE, or ability to obtain licensure within a reasonable timeframe.
  • Demonstrated experience with bridge design principles, methodologies, and current AASHTO LRFD standards.
  • Strong knowledge of concrete and steel design.
  • Proficiency with required software, including:
    • Bentley Open Roads Designer (ORD) or other Micro Station‑based platforms.
    • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Beneficial (not required) software experience:
    • Mathcad
    • Erickson Culvert
    • BGSPGSuper
    • RISA
    • LEAP Bridge Suite
    • AutoCAD Civil 3D
