Petroleum / Reservoir Engineer Description As an integral member of our team, the Reservoir Engineer will work closely with clients year-round—responding to inquiries, preparing high-quality deliverables, and collaborating across departments to support reserves audits, evaluations, and certifications. In today’s environment, there is an increasing need to develop and integrate advanced data analytics tools that enable timely, well-informed decision-making. By combining strong analytical skills, a collaborative mindset, and a solid grasp of our workflow methodology, the Reservoir Engineer will have a significant opportunity to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of Ryder Scott’s project teams on a daily basis.

This position is based in our downtown Houston office, with the potential to work remotely up to two days per week.

Position Responsibilities Summary Collaborate with colleagues to develop a strong working knowledge of client's assets and operations in both unconventional and conventional plays

Serve as the primary administrator for decline analysis software used in forecasting and economic evaluations, including ARIES, PHDWin, Val Nav, and Combo Curve Apply  technical expertise, interpersonal skills, and critical thinking to address a wide range of operational and analytical challenges

Drive the adoption of smarter business processes and advanced analytics to generate actionable insights

Identify and implement opportunities to streamline and standardize data workflows through the use of macros, scripts, or other innovative tools

Design, implement, and maintain quality control routines to enhance data visibility, accuracy, and integrity
