Sr. Director, Global Process Technology Engineering
As a Process Technology Engineering, Senior Director, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by leading your team through:
- Driving technology advancements into Solventum global plants, including disruptive and digital technologies across the Medical, Dental, and Drinking Water business areas.
- Providing strategic and tactical direction to internal manufacturing locations, including leading Factory Acceptance Testing and assisting with on-site startup and qualification of new equipment and processes.
- Working to achieve Supply Chain performance metrics-Service, Quality, Lead Time, Inventory, COGS-by driving continuous improvement projects to deliver global cost reduction.
- Partnering with Manufacturing and R&D to incorporate appropriate process and equipment technology into NPIs and supporting growth through NPIs and new product launches.
- Providing subject matter expertise across the lifecycle of products and processes at manufacturing locations to drive growth and technology improvements.
- Developing Global Manufacturing Technology standards, programs, processes, and metrics.
- Collaborating with R&D and NPI teams to scale up and deliver robust commercial manufacturing equipment and processes, bringing new technology and automating manual processes for future efficiency and repeatability.
- Ensuring compliance with environmental, health, safety, regulatory, intellectual property, and accounting requirements.
- Providing leadership to Solventum Engineering through engineering-sponsored committees, technical organizations, and the Engineering Council.
- Managing the internal technology IP process.
- Executing process development and characterization, defining critical operating parameters for validation and manufacturing process control.
- Calculating and maintaining manufacturing capacity analysis for key assets globally.
- Participating in manufacturing network analysis programs for organic and inorganic growth and regionalization.
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Master's Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution AND thirteen (13) years of combined experience in manufacturing, Engineering, and/or supply chain leadership in the medical device, medtech, pharmaceutical, or biotech industry.
- Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution AND fifteen (15) years of combined experience in manufacturing, Engineering, and/or supply chain leadership in the medical device, medtech, pharmaceutical, or biotech industry.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Strategic leader able to capture end-to-end customer/business needs across the value stream and lead a team to deliver those results.
- Capability to drive success in a customer first, global, end to end value stream.
- Strong coaching and collaboration skills.
- Previous management experience in production, value stream/product/manufacturing operations, and plant environments.
- Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
- Previous international manufacturing and supply chain experiences.
- Experience in leading projects involving capital expenditures and/or New Product Introduction.
- Experience working in regulated markets and/industries.
Hybrid Eligible (Job Duties allow for some remote work but require travel to Eagan, MN at least 2-3 days per week).

CompensationThe expected compensation range for this position is $246,800 - $339,350, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
