Engineer III - Quality

Overview

Cadrex is searching for a Quality Engineer III to implement and maintain engineering and quality processes, ensuring the quality of manufactured goods from the delivery of raw materials to final product by continually assessing process and recommending improvements. The role works closely with other departments to ensure continuity in production, efficiency, quality, and safety.

• Design, document and implement methods for process control (including SPC), process improvement, testing and inspection
• Conduct root cause analysis as needed, utilizing applicable tools to ensure robust solutions or improvements are determined and implemented
• Manage large projects to ensure timelines are met and resources have proper communication and direction
• Conduct internal quality system audits
• Facilitate and lead CAPA meetings, following up on corrective actions to ensure CAPA’s are resolved in a timely manner
• Lead appropriate advanced product quality planning (APQP) processes to ensure product and process validation and verification
• Develop and maintain tools for Quality System metric reporting; ensure metrics are reported accurately
• Work with engineering team using past performance data to prevent future occurrences, utilizing tools such as DOE, DFM, FMEAs, GD&T, process capability, 6‑sigma designs, etc.
• Assist in disposition process by participating in failure analysis and suggesting corrective actions as a Material Review Board member
• Lead and develop new employee orientation blueprint reading training, and develop and implement additional quality training programs in coordination with Human Resources

• 5‑7 years recent, relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and tooling
• Experience in medical systems and audits (ISO 13485) preferred
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 quality systems and audit requirements
• Auditing experience preferred

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering and/or Certified Quality Engineer preferred

• Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts and vibration; occasional risk of electrical shock.
• Noise level is usually moderate and occasionally loud.

• Regularly required to stand, sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, and talk or hear.
• Occasional requirements to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Occasional lifting and/or moving of up to 25 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
