Summary

Reclamation is seeking a career professional to serve as Supervisory Interdisciplinary Engineer. The role focuses on meeting increased water demands while protecting the environment and is located in Boulder City, NV. The position is open to Department of Interior employees and is full‑time with no telework or remote work option.

• Serve as technical advisor to the Regional Director, staff, and line officials on design and construction activities and regional solicitations/specifications.
• Ensure sound engineering principles are incorporated through coordination with program managers.
• Administer and coordinate work schedules and short‑term priorities for professional, technical, and administrative staff.
• Represent the agency on controversial issues to secure support for water‑resources decisions.
• Supervise office activities through subordinate supervisors.

• U.S. Citizen or U.S. National, suitable for federal employment by background investigation.
• Minimum education and experience requirements for the GS‑14 level; formal college transcripts required for verification.
• Valid Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
• Completion of required financial disclosure and drug‑testing procedures.
• Maintain Federal Acquisitions Certification (FAC) and contracting officer representative (COR) credentials as needed.
• Current Department of Interior employee or eligible under CTAP, LMWFA, or other federal employment categories.

• 1‑year probationary period with evaluation of performance, conduct, and public‑interest alignment.
• Telework approval may be granted with supervisory consent.
• Relocation assistance for Permanent Change of Station or first‑post‑of‑duty moves.

• Background investigation required; position is designated non‑critical sensitive requiring T5 or higher.
