Job Description

Our Burlington office is seeking an energetic and self‑motivated Mechanical Engineer with zero to five years of experience. The successful individual will have an interest in designing HVAC, piping, and plumbing systems for apartment buildings, commercial buildings, and industrial facilities. In addition, the individual should be comfortable consulting to architectural practices and have a desire to work on a multi‑discipline engineering team.
Applicants must submit a cover letter describing their interest in the design of HVAC, piping, and plumbing systems, any prior experience in this field, and specifically why they are interested in working at Coffman Engineers’ Burlington office location. Applications submitted without a cover letter will not be considered.
This position is for full‑time, in‑office work at the Burlington, WA office location. Remote work will not be considered. This position is not eligible for sponsorship.
Expected annual salary of $70,000 – $90,000.
Qualifications- 0–5 years of experience
- Experience with AutoCAD and Revit
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Desire to lead inter‑disciplinary projects and project teams
- Excellent time‑management skills
- Registration as an Engineer in Training or Professional Engineer (preferred)
- Familiarity with relevant codes: building, mechanical, energy, plumbing (preferred)
- Active industry involvement (preferred)
- Business development experience (preferred)
