JOB SUMMARYThe Energy Program Analyst is responsible for supporting energy management programs and initiatives to achieve energy savings and reductions across the entire district. Performs energy data collection, analysis, and reporting to track performance against past data to maintain or improve energy consumption. Collaborate with other departments and external vendors to ensure the integration of energy‑saving measures into facility operations and project plans.
Assist in developing comprehensive energy management strategies. Develop and execute site specific Energy Management Plans. Performs evening and weekend audits as well as overseeing all the district building automation system scheduling. This position is eligible for limited remote work as approved by your supervisor.
- Monitor energy consumption by site and address issues as well as look for additional savings.
- Utilizing project management and energy analysis software.
- Identification of energy conservation opportunities.
- Energy Star – understand the energy star program and model our buildings around those parameters.
- Stay informed about the latest developments in energy technology and practices.
- Master control of district wide set points and setbacks for HVAC utilizing the districts BAS system.
- Act as the district’s first point of contact for BAS issues and comfort concerns.
- Train with district’s BAS vendor to maximize the use of the current BAS system.
- Utilize a district owned BAS system computer from remote locations as needed.
- Perform energy audits, retro‑commissioning, and system optimization activities.
- Annually reviews site equipment for any changes for efficiency and productivity.
- Building walkthroughs reviewing energy usage after hours. Including nights, weekends, and some holidays.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Energy Management, Environmental Science, or 3 – 5 years’ experience in a similar energy environment.
- Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or Certified Energy Auditor (CEA) preferred certification.
- Certified Measurement and Verification Professional (CMVP) certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in energy management, facilities management or related fields.
- Prefer a minimum of 3 years of management experience in a similar position.
- Strong understanding of building systems (HVAC, electrical, lighting) and building management control systems (BMS/BAS).
- Proficiency in energy data analysis tools and benchmarking platforms such as ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager.
- Prefer experience managing multiple sites.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
- Experience with facility work order systems.
- Ensures compliance with all OSHA regulations and other District, local, state, and federal government regulations.
- Provide preventative maintenance work orders and service direction to all facilities support staff.
- Enforces quality control standards and procedures for all tasks assigned to all facilities staff.
- Works closely with the Facilities Managers to ensure all functions in the facility division are operating efficiently and effectively.
- Provides technical review and analysis of products, materials and equipment used by personnel in the facilities department.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
