Job Location:
Wilmington, Massachusetts
Job Type: Full Time
Rate of Pay: $124,342 - $163,200 per year
DutiesParticipate in product development activities related to the design and development of state‑of‑the‑art integrated semiconductor products in precision analog circuit design, mixed‑signal design and verification, integrated power analog design, or digital circuit design. Design analog or digital circuits and chip level integrations considering design yield and testability.
Apply knowledge of system‑level and block‑level circuitry simulation and modelling to design new circuits or techniques. Analyze data from the evaluation of silicon design and perform verification of circuits and ICs using advanced mixed‑signal techniques to ensure functionality, accuracy, and reliability against specifications.
Determine technical feasibility of design approach and block specifications for new product development. Document design specifications, prepare technical reports, test plans, and present design review documentation at peer review meetings.
Evaluate and troubleshoot complex integrated circuit problems in the lab, perform functional and performance testing, evaluate silicon on bench, identify deviations, perform troubleshooting of design bugs and provide recommended solutions.
Work with layout engineers to review physical design layouts, make recommendations to characterize new and existing designs, and lead and coordinate project activities across cross‑functional teams.
RequirementsMaster’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Applied Physics or closely related technical discipline (foreign education equivalent accepted) and at least two years of experience as an Analog Design Engineer or related occupation.
- Expertise performing analog design, simulation, layout, and verification for analog, mixed‑signal, or power designs using transistor‑level software design tools such as Cadence.
- Experience evaluating silicon design implementations on CMOS or BCD processes.
- Participation in all phases of new product development and release activities with the product development team.
- Knowledge of device physics fundamentals and semiconductor processing in CMOS or BCD technology to design and verify analog or mixed‑signal IC design blocks.
- Experience performing circuit evaluation, characterization, and failure analysis using lab or bench test equipment.
- Experience may be gained during a PhD program.
- Partial telecommute benefit (2 days/week work from home).
- Discretionary performance‑based bonus.
- Medical, vision, and dental coverage, 401(k), paid vacation, holidays, and sick time.
