Requirements Must have
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline.
- At least 5 years of professional background in product design and new product introduction within a manufacturing setting, working with functions such as design engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, product management, or marketing.
- 2 or more years of program management experience.
- Demonstrated record of bringing product development initiatives to successful completion.
- Experience leading Value Analysis/Value Engineering or other cost-reduction efforts, with the ability to deliver measurable savings and design enhancements in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work through ambiguity, adapt to change, shift priorities, and make sound decisions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project and advanced Excel reporting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong analytical, writing, and presentation capabilities.
- Strong conflict resolution and critical‑thinking skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team.
- Familiarity with PMIs Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK).
- Careful attention to detail and technical precision.
- Strong organizational and technical skills.
- Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Product launch experience.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Proficiency in Visio, Jira, Confluence, and Power BI.
- Experience in the fire protection industry.
- Lead the full lifecycle development and commercialization of new product introduction programs for innovative fire detection products across both software and hardware.
- Oversee project scope, timelines, ownership, and progress tracking from start to finish.
- Manage project-level and departmental budgets, including planning, forecasting, monitoring, and reporting spend against objectives.
- Maintain project portfolios in our enterprise PPM platform, ensuring proper setup, resource assignment, financial control, and governance compliance.
- Drive Value Analysis/Value Engineering initiatives to improve cost efficiency, design effectiveness, and product competitiveness.
- Prepare status updates and reports for senior leadership.
- Use advanced Excel and Power BI skills to create analytical reports, interactive dashboards, and automated workflows that support business decisions.
- Apply knowledge of engineering, project management, and product development practices to move work forward effectively.
- Deliver work accurately and on time, whether independently or with guidance.
- Build productive working relationships across teams and functions.
- Use strong organizational skills to coordinate activities and keep programs advancing.
- Escalate issues promptly, share proven practices, act as a brand ambassador, and mentor others to support a positive team culture.
- Foster strong relationships with stakeholders and help resolve concerns to achieve satisfactory outcomes.
