Senior Manufacturing Engineer
Senior Manufacturing Engineer responsible for leading engineering projects through all phases, improving production methods, standards, tooling, procedures, equipment, and plant layout to enhance safety, quality, production, and cost efficiency.
Responsibilities- Leads engineering projects through all phases.
- Improves current production methods, standards, tooling, procedures, equipment, and plant layout to improve safety and quality, increase production, and reduce cost.
- Resolves problems, discusses solutions with appropriate personnel, and champions cost reduction and quality improvement projects.
- Develops best practice methods and communicates them to plant personnel.
- Manages daily line issues related to equipment, tooling, and work instructions.
- Maintains skills regarding new or improved designs, methods, techniques, materials, and other advances in engineering technology.
- Researches reliable technologies that can be applied to unique filter manufacturing challenges.
- Monitors equipment design and build, conducts equipment acceptance testing, and participates in factory installation and debugging.
- Demonstrates problem‑solving methodologies and champions knowledge transfer and training on new processes and equipment.
- Utilizes knowledge of ergonomics, safety procedures, and machine‑operator interaction to create a low‑risk environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a closely related field.
- 5+ years of applicable professional experience.
- 7+ years of prior experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 3+ years of experience with injection mold processes.
- Proven ability to independently troubleshoot mechanical/electrical and controls systems and develop improvement plans.
- Proven project‑management skills, delivering results on time and within budget through dynamic and creative thinking.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills and proven ability to work effectively in cross‑functional teams at all organizational levels.
- Proven knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques.
- Experience with AutoCAD and/or Solid Works.
- Working knowledge of Allen Bradley PLCs and programming.
- Leadership skills to direct, motivate, and provide clear direction in a production environment.
