Freese and Nichols is currently seeking a highly motivated Stormwater Project Manager to lead complex flood resilience projects in our growing Denver, CO office. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise in Info Works ICM, HEC-HMS, and HEC‑RAS (1D/2D) with strong project management experience. This role offers the opportunity to mentor and develop junior staff and contribute to the continued growth of our Colorado business.
Responsibilities- Serve as Project Manager on projects utilizing Info Works ICM modeling, including oversight and review of modeling work.
- Ensure quality client service, clarity of work products, and delivery of high-quality services within budget and schedule constraints.
- Direct, supervise, and mentor engineers, designers, drafters, and technicians.
- Coordinate assigned work to ensure continuity, consistency, and quality across project teams.
- Determine and schedule required project resources; evaluate project decisions to ensure sound engineering judgment and consideration of impacts to scope, schedule, and budget.
- Remain current on applicable regulations, standards, and technological advancements.
- Support business development efforts including client engagement, opportunity development, proposal preparation, and project interviews.
- Participate in technical presentations, professional organizations, and industry events.
- 6+ years in stormwater management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- Colorado Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 3 months.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Experience with stormwater masterplans, GIS, and technical writing.
- Experience with Info Works ICM modeling, HEC-HMS, and HEC‑RAS 2D.
The annual salary range for this position is $116,600 – $160,000 and is dependent on the candidate's qualifications relative to minimum and preferred requirements.
