Intern Role:
Instruments & Controls CAD
Jacobs is seeking a CAD/Drafting Intern to support our Instruments & Controls (I&C) design team in our Corvallis, Oregon office. This role is specifically designed for students currently enrolled in a CAD, Drafting, or Design Technology program who are looking to gain hands‑on drafting experience while completing their education.
This is a CAD-focused role, not an engineering position.
You will support designers and engineers by producing 2D drawings and documentation, learning industry CAD tools, and working on real‑world projects in a professional design environment. This internship is intended to provide practical experience for CAD students.
Requirements- Must be currently enrolled in secondary education courses and working towards a degree in CAD
- CAD application understanding preferred in MS and ACAD but will help teach on the job
- Must be willing to work in the Corvallis office a minimum of 16-20 hours a week on average while finishing school. More hours are always welcome with some hybrid working at home
- Must live within commutable distance from Corvallis office
- CAD application understanding preferred in Micro Station and ACAD but will help teach our 3D modeling platforms on job
- Focused and concise verbal and written communication
- Strong time management skills and experience
- Reliable, focused, and detail‑oriented
- Excels under pressure and can maintain a calm demeanor at all times
