Chemical Service Technician at a Data Center - The Dalles, Oregon
Job OverviewWork at a customer’s data center in The Dalles, Oregon as a Chemical Technician. Resolve water treatment concerns, conduct water testing and analysis, and troubleshoot water treatment equipment.
Responsibilities- Solve customers' water problems.
- Treat industrial cooling towers to keep them energy efficient and environmentally friendly.
- Perform detailed water testing & analyses at a data center.
- Help deliver on customer KPIs and promote company solutions.
- Report directly to the Site Manager.
- Keep existing customers happy and safe.
First year base compensation $55,000 to $75,000, plus year‑end bonus, based on experience. Additional benefits include medical, dental, vision, AD&D, LTC, 401(k), car allowance, advanced training, clear career path, flexible hours, and company stability with no layoffs.
Requirements- 4-year technical degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology, Mechanical Engineering, Paper Science, or Water Resources.
- Experience or intent to learn advanced water treatment technologies.
- Detail‑oriented, adheres to safety protocols, can lift 50 lb with PPE in all weather conditions.
- One year technical sales or related internship preferred; outside industrial sales experience is a plus.
- Must live in or very near The Dalles, Oregon.
- Familiarity with industrial cooling towers.
- Knowledge and proficiency with lab procedures, water equipment, and water chemistry.
- Ability to provide virtual presentations.
- Experience working in a team setting as a collaborative partner.
