Hybrid Field Service Engineer - Automation & PLC Projects

This role is remote-based, but candidates must reside in the Philadelphia/NJ/NY area and be willing and able to drive or fly to customer sites

We’re working with a fast-growing automation and robotics manufacturer that’s doing things a bit differently, and they’re looking for someone who’s just as versatile as their technology. This isn’t just your typical “service tech” gig. It’s a hybrid role that mixes hands-on work in the field with project management responsibilities, so if you enjoy being in the middle of the action (and wearing a few hats), this might be your sweet spot.

The company is in rapid growth mode in the US market, so this position provides an amazing potential for advancement, as well as a chance to design and work with very creative applications for automation products.

• On-site service & startup of automation systems
• PLC service, testing, and updates (Allen Bradley & Siemens)
• Project management support: working with the ops team, wrangling drawings, and helping get systems into the U.S. smoothly
• Occasionally supporting sales with discovery, design ideas, and system demos

• Solid experience with PLC/HMI/SCADA/VFDs (especially Allen Bradley/Siemens)
• Hands-on automation experience: you know your way around factory systems and how to troubleshoot them
• Strong communication skills: you’ll be working directly with customers and internal teams to keep projects on track
• A valid passport or ability to get one for occasional international travel to HQ (but not often)
• Based within 50 miles of Philadelphia or Newark

• Some experience with robotics, material handling, packaging, or conveyor systems
• Being handy with tools and willing to get your hands dirty
• Experience working food & beverage automation

• Base salary + bonus
