We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for our Philadelphia office to lead our Mission Critical electrical designs for our clients nationally. The candidate should view this as a high opportunity position with tremendous growth potential.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Prepare calculations for feeders, services, short circuit, transformer size.
- Design building electrical distribution, fire alarm and security systems.
- Perform on-site surveys of existing electrical equipment.
- Determine schedules and details required for the project. Review with project engineer.
- Attend job meetings as required.
- Ensure flow of information between disciplines.
- Assist in writing reports and feasibility studies.
- Prepare cost estimates and specifications.
- Serve as a lead electrical engineer on select projects in the Mission Critical Sector. Project types include Data Center new builds, renovations, fit-outs and critical system’s infrastructure upgrades.
- 10+ years of experience in designing Data Center critical power distribution infrastructure, fire alarm systems, lighting systems, both interior and exterior, and lighting controls.
- Knowledge should include familiarity with short circuit, arc flash coordination, design of interior and exterior lighting, and photometric calculations.
- Background in Data Center / critical systems infrastructure is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- Knowledge of applicable codes including energy conservation.
- PE Preferred. EIT certification required.
- LEED accreditation preferred.
- Proficiency with Revit design software with at least 1 year of experience of formal design use.
