Senior Structural Engineer - SE Licensed; Remote

Job Description

Our Nuclear Programs is a Tier 1 service provider to the U.S. Department of Energy and commercial nuclear companies, delivering safe and innovative solutions at complex nuclear cleanup, production and power generation sites. We are looking for a Senior Structural Engineer (SE Licensed) to design and lead structural projects, focusing on steel, concrete and masonry with an emphasis on seismic design.

• Develop design calculations using standard and advanced analysis (FEA) techniques.
• Create drawings and specifications for structural systems.
• Lead design teams and coordinate with clients, both virtually and on‑site.
• Serve as Engineer of Record for assigned projects.
• Estimate, schedule, and track projects for cost and schedule performance.
• Integrate with other design disciplines and project functions.
• Ensure compliance with DOE, NRC, and nuclear standards.
• Follow and implement quality procedures and NQA‑1 quality program requirements.

• US citizenship.
• SE license.
• Ability to obtain DOE Q clearance.
• B.S. in Structural/Civil Engineering from an ABET‑accredited school.
• 10+ years of post‑education experience.
• Expertise in steel, concrete, and masonry design with a seismic emphasis.
• Experience with DOE-1020, NRC framework, IBC, AISC, ACI, ASCE 7, and probabilistic seismic hazard analysis.
• Proficiency in STAAD.pro (or equivalent), Microsoft Office, MathCAD, and related software.
• Experience working within an NQA‑1 quality program.

• Competent in Revit, AutoCAD, or Micro Station.
• Field experience as Resident Engineer, Field Engineer, or Quality Control Engineer.
• DOE Q clearance and prior DOE experience.

Oak Ridge, TN (preferred full‑time). Hybrid or remote options available for candidates within a 50‑mile radius of Oak Ridge, TN or Denver, CO. Remote candidates must have a secured work location approved by the company.

$100,000 – $185,000 (actual pay may vary based on experience and other factors).
