Summary

The Commissioning Superintendent is responsible for overseeing general safety, productivity, schedule, testing, and commissioning of utility‑level solar generation facilities. This hybrid position reports to the Commissioning Manager or another designated management personnel and requires working from a home office and project sites. Working hours are determined based on project requirements and business needs, and the role is expected to travel up to 100%.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities
  • Direct solar commissioning personnel and/or subcontractors to achieve project completion
  • Support the project team with planning and utilization of proper means and methods for activities
  • Follow and implement the company’s Health, Safety & Environmental Policy
  • Coordinate and implement resources and activities necessary to maintain safety and quality
  • Create and maintain commissioning documentation in accordance with contract requirements
  • Assure that all work undertaken is within approved scope boundaries and is in full compliance
  • Coordinate with supplier testing & commissioning teams
  • Identify testing required per project scope of work and ITP
  • Communicate with engineering parties to meet commissioning requirements
  • Attend regularly in accordance with the company’s attendance policy and supervisory assignment, which is an essential job duty requirement for this position
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by Management
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 4 years of professional experience supporting construction of major projects, preferably in the building of power stations, supply networks, or other utility‑scale construction projects
  • Solar PV and/or BESS project commissioning experience
  • Willingness to travel
  • Experience with Procore or comparable project management tool
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience reviewing electrical drawings and manuals of installation and design technical packages
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to professionally interact with clients and outside testing agencies/subcontractors
  • Experience operating solar generation facility electrical equipment
  • Experience with energization procedures and operations of substation equipment
Physical Demands
  • Body Position: frequently remains standing and moving up to 90% of the time in an 8‑10 hour work day
