Position: Distribution Designer 3
Description

We are seeking a Field Distribution Specialist III to support electric utility distribution projects across Georgia. This role focuses on design and field support for overhead and underground distribution systems, including line extensions, upgrades, reconductoring, and new construction.

Responsibilities include performing field assessments, designing distribution layouts, preparing construction packages, and coordinating with internal teams and field crews to ensure successful project execution. Candidates will also support permitting efforts and ensure all work complies with NESC, RUS (if applicable), and safety standards.

This is a field-forward role requiring travel within the state, with occasional overnight stays.

Skills & Qualifications

4+ years of distribution design or utility experience

Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred (or equivalent experience)

Strong technical understanding of distribution systems and equipment

Responsible for collecting easements

Experience with pole loading analysis, SPIDA Calc, Pole foreman

Strong communication and coordination skills

High attention to detail in design and documentation

Will be working with new lines or upgrades or relocating

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nashville, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.00 - $38.00/hr.
