Position: Onsite FPGA Verification Engineer with Active / Current Secret Security Clearance
FPGA Verification Engineer - Multiple Openings (Onsite)

Client: Fortune 100 Aerospace & Defense Company
Employment Type: Contract (5-9 months with possible extension or conversion)
Pay Rate: $50-$100/hr on W2 (depending on role & experience)
Work Options: 100% Remote, Onsite (NY, CA, CO), or Hybrid

Job Summary

We are seeking experienced FPGA Verification Engineers to support cutting-edge R&D programs focused on high-speed, safety-critical aerospace and avionics systems. The engineer will contribute to verification, simulation, integration, and testing of complex ASIC/FPGA designs while collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver next-generation hardware solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute FPGA/ASIC verification plans using System Verilog and UVM
• Build test benches, create tests, and perform coverage analysis
• Support simulation, debugging, integration, and hardware validation
• Collaborate with RTL designers, systems architects, and hardware teams
• Automate verification processes and improve development efficiency
• Document verification activities and support technical reviews

Required Qualifications

• Experience with FPGA/ASIC verification and modern methodologies (UVM/OVM/VMM)
• Strong proficiency in System Verilog and HDL simulation tools
• Experience with FPGA tools such as Xilinx Vivado, Intel Quartus, or Synopsys Synplify
• Familiarity with Linux environments, version control, and configuration management
• US Citizenship required for all roles

Preferred Skills

• Experience with DO-254 or safety-critical avionics certification
• Hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing and lab equipment (JTAG, logic analyzers)
• Programming knowledge in C or scripting languages
• High-speed digital design or DSP exposure

Security Clearance

• Some roles require an Active Secret Clearance
