Required Education
• Degree Requirement:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Thermal Engineering.
• Advanced Degree Option:
Open to a Master's degree with 6+ years of experience.
• Experience Level: 8-10+ years of experience required (internships do not count toward this total).
• Disqualification:
No 2-year degrees accepted.
Required Skills
1. Battery Module/Pack Thermal Design:
Proven experience specifically in designing thermal systems for battery modules.
2. Thermal System Integration:
Ability to integrate thermal components effectively within the overall battery system.
3. Analytical Tools:
Proficiency with CFD and thermal simulation software such as FlowEFD, Ansys, or Star-CCM+.
Additional Technical Skills (Required):
• Thermal Engineering principles.
• Mechanical Engineering design fundamentals.
• Advanced ability to make sketches, engineering drawings, and common computations.
• Advanced ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
• Previous experience with CAD software.
Soft Skills (Required):
• Team player:
Must collaborate daily with on-site teams.
• Self-motivated:
Ability to take initiative and work independently.
• Willingness:
Open to taking on diverse tasks and seeing them through.
• Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem-solving ability.

• Candidates requesting remote work (this is an On-Site Full Time role).
Job Responsibilities
• Design & Development:
Research, design, develop, manufacture, and test tools, engines, machines, and mechanical devices, with a specific focus on thermal systems for battery modules.
• Concept Maturation:
Mature ongoing thermal system designs and take them through the drawing release and production phases.
• Continuous Improvement:
Develop new concepts and seek continuous design improvement for thermal efficiency and performance.
• Innovation Support:
Support new technology development initiatives related to battery thermal management.
• Product Ownership:
Take extreme ownership of parts from the initial design and manufacture stage through to production release.
• Analysis & Feasibility:
Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, and manuals to determine time and cost feasibility to complete projects.
• Troubleshooting:
Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and make recommendations to maintenance crews.
• Oversight:
Oversee installation, operation, maintenance, and repair to ensure that machines and equipment are installed and functioning according to specifications.
• Technical Support:
Implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information to relevant teams.
