Structural Revit Designer
Location:
Austin, TX (ideally on-site for first 3 weeks). Remote ok after initial on-site period.
Duration:
Contract with Extension
Job Responsibilities
• Support the design and construction of various new projects and renovations of existing
• Industrial, manufacturing, and office facilities in our high-tech locations across the U.S.
• Develop structural modeling and design deliverables using Revit.
• Prepare design drawings, plans, sections, details, and schedules.
• Utilize Revizto and 3D laser-scanned point clouds for routing and clash detection.
• Coordinate structural modeling with multidisciplinary project teams, including Mechanical,
• Electrical, Controls, and Piping/Plumbing, and assist with utility routing.
• Integrate design input and markups from structural engineering leads.
• Perform initial Revit model setup.
• Collaborate with the BIM/CAD support team to achieve consistent results and incorporate
• New designs into existing facility models.
• Utilize and improve structural design standards.
• Assist with BIM custom content creation and tool development.
• Ensure the production of high-quality models.
• Develop and enhance design skills and engineering understanding.
• Assist in presenting 30%, 60%, and 90% model reviews to stakeholders and multidisciplinary Teams.
Minimum Requirements
• Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Structural Designer for building or industrial projects.
• At least 5 years of experience with Revit Structural.
• Willingness to work overtime to meet deadlines.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team.
• Capability to multitask and adapt to rapidly changing project requirements and timelines.
• Strong commitment to upholding standards and escalating issues in a timely manner.
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight, prioritize tasks, and communicate
• Assignments effectively.
Preferred Qualifications/Experience
• Diploma in Civil or Structural Engineering, or a drafting certificate.
• Experience with Revizto or similar multidisciplinary clash detection and model review
Platforms.
• Proficiency in developing BIM content, including families (parametric, formula-nested, and
type catalogs).
• Experience working with vendors for content downloads and updates to company standards.
• Familiarity with developing fabrication-level (LOD 400) drawing packages.
