What You'll Do
* Serve as energy engineering technical lead on projects, especially mentoring less experienced engineers
* Perform comprehensive solutions to improve facility energy use - design review and upgrade recommendations related to MEP, energy use analysis, RCx, and measurement and verification (M&V) activities
* Advanced understanding of HVAC and building controls
* Ability to work independently
* Ability to effectively communicate with clients and project teams
* Assist in scoping projects for related proposals
* Travel 33%
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or architectural engineering. Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas or ability to obtain within six months
* 4+ years of experience in facility engineering, including MEP design, commissioning, or energy modeling
* Demonstrated proficiency in HVAC systems, building controls, and applicable codes and standards such as ASHRAE and IECC
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments while meeting project deadlines
Preferred:
* 6+ years of experience in facilities engineering
* Commissioning certification such as Certified Building Commissioning Professional (CBCP)
* Measurement and Verification certification such as IPMVP
* Project management or personnel management experience
