Work Setting: 100% of the time at the Client's site. No telecommuting or remote work. This is a non-negotiable requirement from the client.

Required:

• Experience with electrical construction and commissioning means and methods knowledge including NEC and NFPA

• Experience with Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) integration and troubleshooting

• Experience with E&I controls and instrumentation installation, startup and troubleshooting

• Experience with protection and controls implementation and troubleshooting

• Experience with inverter operation and communications startup and troubleshooting

• Experience with Battery Energy Storage System operation and troubleshooting

• Experience with renewable energy systems (solar, wind, and battery storage) commissioning and startup

• Experience with drawing review and quality control inspection

• Experience with progress reporting

• Experience with Outlook, PDF editing, Word, Excel, document control systems, and Power Point

• Experience with management of third parties, suppliers, EPC contractors, and OEM startup teams

• Experience with management of direct report team members and multi-site coordination

• Experience with schedule and planning

Preferred:

• Experience in on-site project support for renewable power generation project construction startup and commissioning (5+ years)

• Experience working for an EPC in renewable power generation project construction startup and commissioning (3+ years)

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and ensure high-quality execution of commissioning, startup, and operational turnover activities across renewable energy projects (wind, solar, battery storage)

• Coordinate and manage EPC contractors, OEM startup teams, third-party technicians, and operations personnel during commissioning phases

• Ensure compliance with safety policies, project specifications, codes (NEC/NFPA), and contractual obligations including PPA and GIA requirements

• Ensure project reliability at operational turnover with minimal downtime during initial operations

• Manage project schedules, staffing, reporting, and documentation across multiple sites

• Provide subject matter expertise and input into strategic planning for safety, manpower, and quality improvement

• Interface with safety, engineering, and quality control teams to ensure alignment across project execution

• Oversee Next Era commissioning personnel across multiple sites to ensure contractual deliverables are met

• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Commissioning Manager, Substations/BESS (remote) - 19119
Remote. US Travel and stay at project locations for duration of Cx. Travel up to 75%. Other work is remote in supporting teams in remote SCADA monitoring and Commissioning portfolio management.

Required :

• Experience with Battery Energy Storage Systems installation and startup

• Experience with utility-scale solar PV systems, including modules, DC collection, combiner boxes, and inverters;

• Experience with PV inverter systems, MV collection systems, and solar balance-of-plant (BOP) components;

• Experience with technical, performance, and integration of Li-Ion batteries as part of ESS

• Experience with commissioning process creation

• Experience with substation testing and startup

• Experience with protection and controls implementation and troubleshooting

• Experience with containerized systems, skids, controllers/SCADA, transformers and combiners

• Experience with quality control inspections and punch-list management

• Experience with DC systems (0-2,000
