Remote Structural Designer Help Build the Infrastructure That Powers Tomorrow
Join a long-established engineering organization with over a century of proven success-where practical design expertise meets real-world impact. As major investments in nuclear and power generation accelerate across North America, this is your chance to contribute to projects that truly matter.
This is a newly created role driven by growth, offering strong long-term stability, consistent work, and the opportunity to be part of a team shaping critical energy infrastructure for years to come.
What It's Like to Work Here
+ Be part of something big - Contribute to large-scale industrial and energy projects that keep communities running
+ Stability you can count on - A strong backlog of work extending well into the next decade
+ Team-driven environment - Work alongside experienced designers and engineers who value collaboration and knowledge-sharing
+ Flexibility built in - Remote or hybrid work options that support your day-to-day life
+ A place to grow - Expand your technical skills across complex, high-impact projects
What You'll Do
In this role, you'll focus on the hands-on design and drafting of structural systems supporting power generation and industrial facilities. Your work will directly contribute to the successful delivery of major infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Develop detailed designs for foundations, structural steel, and industrial support systems
+ Create and refine layouts for pipe racks, tank foundations, and auxiliary structures
+ Perform structural analysis calculations to support design solutions
+ Produce and update design drawings, models, and documentation
+ Apply industry codes, standards, and project specifications to design work
+ Support projects across nuclear, conventional power, and industrial sectors
+ Work with engineering teams to translate concepts into practical, buildable designs
+ Assist in design work related to ductwork and emissions control systems
What You Bring
Required:
+ 10+ years of experience in structural design and drafting (not purely theoretical engineering)
+ Strong background in power generation, utilities, or heavy industrial environments
+ Experience supporting projects in nuclear, fossil fuel, or energy infrastructure
Preferred:
+ Associate's degree, technical diploma, or B.S. in Civil/Structural discipline
+
Experience with seismic design considerations (especially in nuclear settings)
Familiarity with:
+ AutoCAD
+ Autodesk Advance Steel
Why This Role Stands Out
+ Work on large, complex infrastructure projects without being stuck in purely theoretical work
+ Join a highly stable organization known for long employee tenure
+ Be part of a growing team, not filling someone else's seat
+ Enjoy consistent, long-term project work with minimal uncertainty
+ Competitive compensation, PTO, and flexible work options
