We're looking for a Lead Structural Design Engineer to play a key role in delivering complex structural solutions within the power generation sector-particularly in nuclear and heavy industrial environments. What You'll Do

+ Lead the design and analysis of heavy foundations and structural steel systems, including pipe racks and industrial support structures

+ Deliver structural and civil engineering solutions for nuclear power plant projects

+ Perform advanced structural calculations and design studies using tools such as STAAD Pro, AutoCAD, ANSYS, and Mathcad

+ Prepare and review engineering reports, specifications, and design documentation

+ Interpret and apply codes, standards, and construction documents to ensure compliance and quality

+ Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to drive project execution and innovation

+ Contribute to emission control and industrial ductwork projects, supporting sustainable energy initiatives

What You Bring

+ 8+ years of structural engineering experience, ideally within nuclear or heavy industrial environments

+ Strong background in civil/structural design for complex infrastructure projects

+ Expertise in structural analysis, load calculations, and design studies

+ Proficiency with industry-standard tools such as STAAD Pro, ANSYS, Mathcad, and AutoCAD

+ Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset

Preferred Qualifications

+ Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Structural focus)

+

Experience with seismic analysis and design, particularly in nuclear applications

+ Familiarity with Auto Desk Advance Steel

+ Professional Engineer (PE) license (any U.S. state), or ability to obtain additional licenses

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mount Laurel, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $65.00/hr.
